Where to obtain/retrieve my Product ID (PID)?

If you had purchased the download product, the Product ID is included in the Order Confirmation e-mail
that was sent from support@flipalbum.biz to your registered e-mail address the same day the purchase was made. If you no longer have a copy of the Order Confirmation e-mail, you may retrieve your Product ID from http://www.flipalbum.com/lostpid.htm by entering your registered e-mail address.

If you had purchased the box product, the Product ID is located on your CD jewel case.

The Product ID should look like XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXXXX. Please take note that the "0"s are the number zero and not the letter "o". Each box contains its own proprietary Product ID and we do not keep a record of this number until you register the box product with us. Download products are automatically registered.

To register your box product, please click here: http://www.flipalbum.com/products/register.php. As a registered user, you will be able to receive technical support, enjoy free minor product updates, special discounts for major product upgrades, as well as retrieve your Product ID and download the product in case of loss.

I downloaded Mac FlipAlbum®, but all I see is a file called macfa30.tar.gz. How do I open it?

Please ensure that you are running Mac OS X 10.1.5 or above.

The downloaded file, macfa30.tar.gz, is a compressed installer file. Double-click on it to uncompress it. It should then open in Stuffit Expander, which is included with Mac OS X.

If you are unable to open it by double-clicking on the file, please launch Stuffit Expander manually by going into Applications/Utilities/Stuffit Expander. Once you launch Stuffit Expander, go to File -> Expand and select the macfa30.tar.gz file.

With Mac FlipAlbum® 3, are we able to create albums on CDs, share albums via E-Mail or Internet?

Mac FlipAlbum® 3 Suite and Pro editions allow you to share your albums with both Mac and PC users on CDs only. The recipients of your CDs do not have to install any software to view your albums. The difference between Suite and Pro, is that the Suite would only allow you to share your albums with friends and family via CDs. Is Mac FlipAlbum® 3 compatible with iPhoto, i.e., can we export photos from iPhoto to Mac FlipAlbum® 3? What are the differences between iPhoto and Mac FlipAlbum® 3?

We cannot directly export photos from iPhoto to Mac FlipAlbum® 3 at the present moment. You may, however, try the following workaround:

1. Locate the album folder where your iPhoto images are captured.
2. Drag the folder to the FlipAlbum® application icon. You can also drag it into a FlipAlbum® alias on the desktop or to the application icon in the dock. Mac FlipAlbum® 3 will open the folder of images and display it in a FlipBook format.

The main difference between iPhoto and Mac FlipAlbum® is that Mac FlipAlbum® 3 Suite and Pro have the ability to create and burn flipping albums to CDs that work on both PCs running Windows 95 through XP Pro, and Macs running OS 10.1.5 through 10.3.

With Mac FlipAlbum®, you can create visually stunning digital photo albums that are just as easy to view as a real photo album. In iPhoto, you have the ability to burn your images to CD but these CDs are only designed as a way to archive your images or share with other people that have iPhoto on their computers. This means that PC users are not able to read the disks that are created by iPhoto at all.

So the advantage to using Mac FlipAlbum® is the ability to create personal stunning digital photo albums that you can easily share with your whole family no matter if they are on PCs or Macs.
