Why do I have to digitally sign my FlipBook?

FlipViewer® 3.5 and above software is specially designed to work with our enterprise solutions like DRM and more. With the DRM solution, FlipBook publishers can now have a better control of the FlipBooks that they distribute online. This solution has so far been made available to the Enterprise customers only. With the decision to extend this service to all our valued FlipAlbum® and FlipPublisher® customers, we had then released FlipViewer® 3.x to the general public.

To control the use of FlipViewer® 3.x for commercial reasons as well as in the distribution of HTML content, digital signature is introduced. Hence, anyone who wishes to use FlipViewer® 3.x to view HTML-based FlipBooks or commercial FlipBooks may only do so if the FlipBook is digitally signed. And it is the responsibility of the FlipBook publisher to digitally sign the FlipBook.

Note that this does not apply to home users who wish to use FlipViewer® 3.x to distribute their non-commercial FlipBooks online as long as the FlipBooks do not contain HTML pages.

What happens after my Digital Signature account expires?

Using FlipViewer® 3.5 and above software, the FlipBook will be termed "For Non-commercial Use Only" when the Digital Signature subscription expires, or in the case of HTML-based FlipBooks, the FlipBook will not open.

FlipBook publishers will have to subscribe to the Small Business Services as long as they wish to commercially distribute online FlipBooks or FlipBooks containing HTML pages using FlipViewer® 3.x.

Why am I limited to 500 downloads?

The 500 download limitation is meant to differentiate the small business users from the enterprise. For publishers who wish to distribute more than 500 copies of their online FlipBooks on a monthly basis, they may approach our Support Team at support@flippublish.com for volume pricing.
